My epic story about swimming
When I was in second grade,I didn't know how to swim. I felt really sad. It was really boring watching the others in the deep side. When I was in the deep pool I just wanted to get out.
I decided to learn swimming from a good teacher. Her name is Aunty Mae. I learnt swimming on June 30th. My swimming teacher taught me. In the beginning it was really hard, but then it got easier. I practiced on each Tuesday and Thursday. Some strokes were super easy like, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.I felt awesome. I finally knew how to swim!
I wanted to get in the swim team, because I wanted to show other people how good am I at swimming.I was really scared and nervous. The trials were super difficult.I could handle the difficulty because I knew how to swim. When I finished the try outs I was hoping to get in.I thought i was not going to be in the swim team.
The list was going to be announced on Friday. We forgot to see the list. My friend Uta told me that I was in the swim team. I didn't believe him. I thought he was kidding. Then me and my mom went to the school on Saturday, and we saw the list. We saw my name, and then we jumped in the air and hugged each other. Luckily no one saw us.
I go to swimming practice on Monday and Thursday. I enjoy it a lot.
The thing I learned from this, is swimming is a good sport. I also learnt that practice makes a man perfect, and ANYTHING is Possible.
